I’m Kelly Windsor Burgin, Founder of Bite Your Tongue Productions.

I started out in radio as a BBC New Talent Presenter Trainee and spent over ten years there presenting and producing linear radio and long form documentaries for entertainment and news. I founded Bite Your Tongue Productions in 2021.

Bite has seen such enormous success in our first year - I never dreamed that we’d achieve a Silver Award at the ARIAS with our first podcast or make the Top Ten Podcasts of 2021 in the FT and The Best Podcasts of 2021 in The Week. I can’t wait to get the concepts we have in development now out into the world to see how they fly.

We are a David in comparison to the Goliaths of podcast production but there’s advantage in that. We are agile and can create bespoke teams for each project. We are daring and idealistic and excited to deliver audio that is fresh and different and bold.

If you have an idea we’d love to hear it.

I’m Pūlama Kaufman, Development Producer at Bite Your Tongue Productions.

I believe that storytelling has magical powers. I grew up in Maui, Hawai’i where we “talk story” and there is a deep and rich history of oral storytelling. Growing up here I learned a valuable lesson- when we take the time to listen we are doing something profound, we are telling people that we care about them and the things they have to say.

By a stoke of great luck (and lots of hard work) storytelling is my job. It is the greatest joy of my life to use audio to connect with people- to make them laugh and cry and say, “that’s so interesting, I have to tell someone about this!”

My mission as an audio producer is to create connection and foster empathy. From the guests and hosts I work with, to the sound engineers and everyone in between…

I think each podcast has a chance to bring people together.
